With these combo dipstick/filler caps (oil), is the level checked with the cap twisted closed or just pushed in all the way?

Either...but i always twist it closed. Theres not going to be a big difference in the two. Just take your pick.
((I don't have a lead-foot, But i wear steel-toes.))
Actually, the reason I asked is 'cause there was a huge difference....
pushed down - I'm bone dry (engine-lethal)
twisted on, - I'm over-filled (also engine-lethal)
both ways it looks like crude (I'll change it eventually)
