URGENT - fuel filter - have car apart

so i started doing my fuel filter and i have it all disconnected except for that stupid quick disconnect piece or whatever it is... the haynes manual says to push in on the plastic tabs and pull the fuel line away fromt he filter but there are not any plastic tabs to push in on ... im baffled... how do i get this thing off of there....it doesnt look like its the kind of filter with the disconnect tabs

this is on a 2.4L btw if it makes any difference

I had this problem jst the otherday. I ended up breaking the plastic line behind the quick disconnect. So I bought a new fitting from the local auto parts store. It included a new plastic quick disconnect and it works 500 times better.

Not what I would really suggest, but that's what happened to me lol

i called a buddy of mine at a dealership and he told me how to get it off...

it had a metal disconnect thing in the fitting on the filter that cant be seen or felt .. you have to just get a small screwdriver and pry at it and toy wth it for a while and it will eventually come off


i just got it off...
