I think i posted this a long time ago when i first got the service manual but...I bought the Offical Service manual for my 2001 Sunfire. Though they are year specific some stuff is universal through the generations. If anybody needs some technical info, whether it be the size of the bolt on the tranny, exactly how many gallons of gas you car has when it is at 1/2, or whatever let me know. If absolutely needed i can scan in pages but not 17,000 of them! Post requests in here or email me

if that has the info on the BCM, in particular what pin controls the trac control, and is there a part number for that BCM, so that we know if its different from the cavi one.
you shoulda gotten the 02 manual-- heheh it covers the 2.2 ohv, the 2.2 eco and the 2.4 on the fires and cavs.

ok cinny: according to this the BRN connector on the BCM has a BRN/WHT wire in the 9th hole from the left(if your looking at the end of the connector w/ the tab on the top) and that is the "Traction Control Switch Signal"

very minor changes if any, revisions for third gen are from i believe 95-97 98-99 2000-02 and 03-05 that would include engine, tranny, and body styling. the unibodys stayed the same.
no the manual wasnt engine specific. there is a separate electronic section
