I am new here.
Is it possible to remove the final drive ring out of a 2004 tranny, and then put it in my 1997 Cav tranny?
As far as I am aware the early 3rd gens use a different manual transmission, so I don't think so.
Thanks for the imput. But all Cavz ran the F23. Just different ratios depending on year. Also the housing is obviously different..I am going to assume I can swap the final drives....not me...but my tranny guy. ..I don't tear into trannys..lol.

That is incorrect. The Getrag F23 was not used until 2000. The 1995-1999 transmissions were made by Isuzu. You will not find any similarities between the two.
