I have a 1997 z24 with a 5 speed . when my clutch wears out about what looks like to be haft way though my out bearing will bottom out and burn out and blow the slave cylinder . I've have to replace my clutch about every 3-4 years because of this problem . I've had put in about 4 clutch sets with new fly wheels . the clutch disc will almost get to the rivets . I've seen most clutches go all the way down into the rivets and then some .
