I have a 2003 Cavalier, 2.2 Ecotec manual trans car. Was running fine but went to start and only cranks, won't turn over. When turning on the key, the fuel pump is not priming, but I made a connection from the negative terminal to the black/white wire under the fuel pump relay under the hood and the car will prime but not stop until the connection from the battery ground is disconnected again. I have checked all grounds under the hood and all are tight. The main power wire was loose at the fuse panel underhood, but has now been tightened. The battery is getting more than 12 volts as well. This problem happened once before, and the car just started back without anything being done, but smelled like something electrical getting very hot. I was able to drive it for about a month daily before this problem happened again. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
