I have a question about my car cause I am getting mixed answers from 2 people so I wanna see what the majority of you say....

I purchased a 2003 Cavalier with the Ecotec. Well the fuel gauge doesn't work on it (knew prior to purchase) and I want to get it fixed when the good weather rolls around.. I can do the work myself by dropping the tank and whatnot.. What I would like to know is if I can replace just the fuel sending unit or do you have to replace the whole pump??? I have been told the sending unit can be done separate from the pump and then I have also been told the pump and sending unit are a single unit...

Does anyone know the real answer???

If you go to a parts store, or dealer you can only get it as one unit.

You can buy just a fuel pump (aftermarket), but to my knowledge you can not get just the sender.
