hey guys ive had my 95 sunfire 2.2 for about a year now. ive noticed that the coolant fan doesnt go on at all,and trust me ive let it idle for about 15-20 minutes, it doesnt go on. it doesnt go on when i turn on the a/)c either(my ac isnt working right now it just blows air not cld air,i dont know if that matters). ive pulled the fan and jumped it, it works. i checked the fuse, good. i swapped the relay with my blower relay, also good. i replaced the temp sensor and thermostat. when i unplug the temp sensor the fan will kick on but the check engine light goes on and the temp guage drops to 0. from whT ive read this means i have a complete fan circuit right? i need some help on where to go from here, any and all advice is appreciated.
check the erls fuse thats a long shot but possible
check the erls fuse thats a long shot but possible
where would i find this fuse on a 95?
mines a 96 and.its in the fuse compartment in the car .
other you goth a bad temp sensor that all I can come up with. you can test the temp switch by starting the car and measuring the ohms in a 2 min time period the ohms should rise at least 200.
yesterday i let it idle to make sure the fan doesnt come on. it got right about to the line that marks the beginnung of the red area, no fan. i also just checked the erls fuse and its good
yea that was kinda a crap shoot. id test that temp switch like I said earlier.
