hey guys im gonna replace my brake lines and i came across this just wonder if anyone can tell me what it is/ does?
they are attached to my rear brake lines and are located on the drivers side between the driver and rear wheel..

PS. its a 2000 Cavalier Z24
x2.... keeps a constant bit of pressure going to the brakes to reduce response time from the brake pedal and fluid drain-back into the master cylinder iirc.
