A few questions about "SeaFoam"...
Anybody use it? If so, does it do anything? Good or bad?

i have nothing bad to say about it but on a daily driver that maintained its not usually necessary. but if you need to help out something like a stcky lifter or gummed up throttle body and intake it does a pretty good job. in saying that fo cleaing out a throttle body and intake water on a hot engine works great and its free.

ive heard this too, spraying a tiny tiny bit of water down the intake is a good cleaner bc it cant compress but only a tiny bit not enough to hydro lock it, but im still iffy about spraying water in there....i use tb/carb cleaner, ill spray that into my intake over water

I think it is because the water will turn to steam...which is a great cleaner.

Same thing applies to a motor with Meth/Water injection...you open them up and its spotless inside!

yea if your going to use water you have to have a brain about it. i usually take off the pcv hose and let it suck slowly out of a cup i usually use about 8oz i also use hot water on a already ran and hot engine. then it turns to steam and cleans that way and doesnt have time to actually be water in there. just steam. it works great but you have to be careful you cant just take a cup and pour it in. and the engine does need to be very hot. ive done to just about every car ive had bought used and dont know how they were treated. ive had atleast 30 cars never had a problem.

Using water was typically a better trick with carbureted engines. It was good for cabon build up. I am interested in trying out seafoam though. I definitely WILL NOT be putting it in my crank case like some suggest. 50% in the brake booster line and 50% in a tank of gas. Nothing goes in my crank case but oil (and nitro in my go-kart).
