spark plugs and wires question
Friday, January 21, 2011 9:56 AM
I have a 2000 cavalier base sedan with a 2.2l. I realize that these questions have probably been asked but I cant find the answer. My car needs spark plugs and wires very soon. I have been doing a little research and Im wondering if a bigger wire like the accel 8mm's or the msd 8.5mm's would be worth the money or if either would increase my fuel mileage at all or if I should just stick with the napa factory replacement wires? Also, I want to get ngk spark plugs. What are the factory ac delco plugs, platinum or double platinum? Are the ngk irradium plugs worth the $7 price tag f my car really isnt modded? Im more interested in fuel mileage than power. Thanks.

I can tell ya what I did....I ran MSD Silicone wires ( cut to fit type ) and for plugs i ran platinum NGK.....All of which i bought at Advance auto......As for gains and stuff, if your car is in desperate need for a tune up then plugs and wires..napa, Accel, MSD, etc...will help alot........I was going to run the top of the line AC Delco but were out of stock at that point.....that was in my sunfire, 2.2 OHV......Hope it helps !!
