can someone help me with a description on how to replace my injectors on a 2.4 thanks I can only seem to find 2.2 replacment
Relive pressure in the fuel system (or just wait until the engine is cold and be ready to catch the FPR when you remove it)
Unbolt your fuel rail from the engine.
unbolt the FPR from the fuel rail.
Your should be able to pull the fuel rail out enough to remove the injectors with the inlet line still hooked up (I did)
The injectors just clip to the rail.... just unclip them and unplug them from the wiring harness.
Get a good flashlight and make sure none of the rubber seals left any part of themselves in the head and its clean in there (do the same with the rail) you'll have bad issues if the new ones dont seal.
then basically just revers the process... plug the new injectors into the harness then press them into the rail (making sure to clip them)... then line it up with the holes in the head and start pushing..
Its a royal pain in the ass to get the FPR back in the rail and bolted up at the same time your trying to position the rail because of the way the FPR mounts... but you'll get it eventually.... and once the FPR is on and everything is lined up... you have to somehow get both the bolts that bolt the rail to the engine to thread in..... after the first one is started it can take for freaking ever to get the other one...you just gotta keep turning the damn thing until it starts (all of a sudden it will just "line up and work")
Some people put a little Vaseline on the injector seals to help them slide in and stay in place when mounting... but I didnt need to.
