Recently the car had #2,3 coils go bad. They were replaced. Now that they were fixed, there is still a small sputter sound coming from the engine when on the gas (not exhaust sputter, but engine sputter). Also, the engine is overall a little louder, even when idling. The volts are running lower than normal also. When the engine warms up, the idle voltage is around 12. It used to be around 13.35 give or take. When I turn the stereo on (even if it is on pause)the volts drop to around 11.25-11.6. Same with when I am on the gas. The volts average around 14.45 give or take and as soon as the stereo is turned on, the volts drop to 13.3 or so. That is when the rpms are well over 2500. One last thing, the gas mileage seems to be shot. About 20 miles for an 1/8 tank of gas.
Any ideas or leads that I can check out. Anyone in the Pittsburgh area that knows what they are doing on these cars? Chevy dealers don't seem to know.
I'm having a similar problem with my LN2, and many say it may be the fault of the crank-position sensor or the wiring or sensor terminals developing corosion. Have you cleaned you battery terminals lately (Just a thought!)?
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
