So i've had a block sitting for a few days outside while i rebuilt the head that goes on it and it was covered and all but surface rust started to form in the cylinders. I tried to spray it down with carb cleaner and wipe it off, most of it did come off but theres still alittle there. Should i try something else or just assmeble the engine and not worry aobut it? I was thinking maybe rubbing it with oil or something.

should be ok if you spray some penetrating oil in there...
