Oil Seepage

So apparently I've got an oil seep. I'm not sure exactly where it's coming from because I don't really have anything to get under there with, but I figure I'll take it to my mechanic to get it fixed as it's probably just a seal.

What should I be looking for as far as damage to my wallet? It's not a severe seep, and it doesn't really affect oil levels, but I want to switch to synthetic, so I'm getting this fixed first. Any ideas? Thanks.

well first you need to find out where its seeping from then you can guess how much it will be. if its the oil pan not much or you could do it yourself. pretty much the more your mechanic has to take off your motor to fix it the more your going to pay. what kind of motor and car do you have?

It's a 2002 LS Sport with the Ecotec. And thanks for the info. Hopefully it's an easy to get to seep. :\
