noise when i leave off at 70mph?

Hey.. i've been having this problem with my ecotec for a month or so now. Whenever I drive it it feels fine without any troubles.. I don't hear any noises or anything. But whenever I leave off the gas above say 65mph there seems to be either a rattling or a blow off noise. I think it's coming from the passenger side of the engine bay somewhere.. what could this be? I know its vague.. but i can't describe it any better. It only happens above 65mph and whenever i'm leaving off the gas.. it doesnt do it if i brake but as soon as i leave off the accelerator it does it.

OH my.... that was the MOST detailed question...EVER

It took me so long to look up all those big words like...it... and.... ass... anything over 3 letters....dont even go there. wow.

but seriousley, where's the noise coming from, what does it sound like ?
Eg. RFoGaLX's car.
My busted rear bumper dragging on my muffler, which hits the ground now.
A lawnmower having sex with a tuba.

how long has it been since you started hearing it ?

what are you doing when it "always happens" ?

was it any other kind of noise, before it became weird-assed ?

Answers man, ANSWERS!!!

over 65mph your TCC (Torque converter clutch) is locked up so the drive from engine to trans is solid link, no torque multiplication and no slippage. This means when you let off your beggining to change power transfer instead of the engine driving the car forward the wheels begin trying to turn the engine (which is decelerating) against its compression and pumping losses (since the throttle plate is closed) so the engine shifts on the mounts.

I would look for witness marks...either intake or exhaust is rubbing possibly a section of fender liner. Hard to say.
