2000 cavalier minor problems

First little problem I have is my E-brake when being pulled to engage goes to about 90 degrees instead of the 30 degrees to fully engage. I know some cable part or something fell off but where do I locate this? I tried to search but it didn't have anything I was looking for.

Also, I did an interior swap with a friend who had a 96 Z24. Needless to say I lost my seat belt holders. I managed to find 2 good ones in my last junk yard hunt but my question is. How do you remove the top part of the seat to install the holders? I don't want to rip the cushion off or risk bending the rods inside them that adjust the height.

Lastly, my bracket that holds my shift boot for the shifter broke, so every time I throw it into 5th gear it comes up and out. I haven't been able to find a junked manual to replace this piece but everywhere I looked people seem to want over a $100 for the bracket and shift boot. Any help on where I can find a decently priced replacement for it? Or should I just ghetto fix/glue into place? I'd rather spend a few to make it look nice and not be too cheap, but $100 or more is a bit more than I want to pay at the moment. I guess I could just try and get lucky at the yard too....

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! =)

There is an adjuster for the rear brake and E brake, you have to remove the drum to reach it. There is a spring that prevents the adjuster to loosen by holding a safe kind of lock on the little wheel that you turn to tighten or loosen the rear shoes, the spring may be broken or missing. If its there probably you just need to turn the adjuster (rise the lock and turn the small wheel ) tighten the shoes then get the drum on place and turn it by hand if it turns free remove it and tighten the adjuster some more till it feels some rubbing between the shoes and drum, do the same on both sides. Search the susp. and brake forum for a more detailed how to.
