I just looked up the part numbers... odd, I thought they were all the same 95-99 and 00-05, but I was wrong!

95 is unique. 96-98 are the same. 99-00 are the same. 01-05 are the same... so four different pump assemblies over the years.

What I can tell you though... is for the 99 model year, GM moved the charcoal canister to the rear of the car... eliminated one of the fuel filler lines (the smaller vent line that goes up to the filler neck). In 2000, they went to a plastic tank, with different quick-disconnects (which are MUCH easier to actually disconnect!) than the 95-99 cars had (awful connectors, I hate them with a passion).

The 95-98 pumps should work but you might find that some of the lines are different than your car has... you may find that some lines have to be cut off and connected with rubber hosing and clamps as the connectors won't work.

Oh, and the level sensors are different... which is probably why there are different numbers for the different ranges, not the pump itself.

The pump/sender unit assembly is sold as one piece with the level sensor, which is why there are different pump numbers listed (due to the level sensor changing over the years). I don't think it matters as long as it's 40 ohms resistance when empty and 250 when full (I might have that backwards...). Which I believe all J-cars are, regardless of year. The metal tank is the same 95-99, and plastic 00-05.

Just grab the pump/sender assembly... complete unit. 97 should work in yours just fine. Like I said... you might have different connectors on yours, so be prepared to lop them off and use some pieces of rubber hose with some small clamps to secure it. Make sure you use proper pressurized fuel line hose though
