I have a 2004 Cav. I bought it last year from an org member and it had a few wiring issues,mainly HVAC stuff. Now I think I took care of those so thats not the real problem. The problem lies in the fact that now the car seems like its in a closed loop or something . I did change the gauge cluster so I don't know if thats what did it. So now I start it and it has a rough idle and giving any gas pretty much tries to kill it, if I accelerate really slow I can climb to 2grand but then tries to die.Check engine light is on ,and I would take it to Auto Zone but I cant drive it anywhere yet due to it not being licensed yet. And I don't have a code reader so I don't know. I have replaced the fuel pump/filter and tested the pressure so I do know thats not it. Mainly I was just seeing if any of you guys have seen a problem like this.

Its hard to say anything without knowing what the code is.

Anywho. My guess would be that your problem lies in the Throttlebody, one of the sensors, or an 02 sensor maybe. Its hard because theres a bunch of things that can cause something like this.

Does it misfire at all? How are the plugs and ignition set up, in good shape?

Good luck getting it fixed, Im sure its something simple.
