my car just started idling at 1500 rpms when I came to a stop light today and it won't go back down. I put gas in because I was low and I reved it high and restarted the car many times and nothing is fixing it. I took the intake stuff off and checked the throttle body and it is not stuck open. I have no Idea what it is.
maybe check the throttle position sensor. i think its like a $25 part. or get some electrical parts cleaner and spray yours out really well and make sure there's not gunk in it.

You might also want to check out the idle air sensor... Both of these sensors are on the throttle body.
thanks for the advise. I did put put in a new idle air control valve and it make my car idle at 3500 rpms, so it must be something else.

never mind, I figured it out. I messed around with some sensors and then disconnected my battery for a while. Everything is working just fine at least for now.
