so i tried to put some new coolant in this morning but the cap wont come off... when i try to twist it off it seems to get crocked and stuck. can i pry it off with a screw driver? or is there something else i can try. i'll mess with it again after i get off work and possibly during my lunch break.
thanks
It definitely is threaded, so prying is probably a bad idea. Basically everything is plastic, so about the only option is to turn that bitch until something breaks -- hopefully the seal on the cap is what goes first!
I suppose the typical remedies for a stuck jar lid might help here. (ie. tapping the edge with a wrench or something, pouring hot water over it...).

Get a pair of channel locks and go to town. Thats what i would do. You might end up needing a new cap in the end, but alteast its off.
hahaha i was afraid those were basically my options! lol i was getting pissed with it this morning and was thinking... oh i can easily get this off, but a broken cap wont do me much good! hahah
thanks, guess i'll go tinker with it!
thread can be deleted!
If you manage to remove it in one piece, you might consider putting a thin application of lube on the seal, and remember not to put it on quite so tight.

^^^^^But where's the fun in that? I know i would like to destroy the thing if it was acting up on me. Just toss a rubber band and baggie over it and run to the junkyard. Make sure to bring your toolbag.......freebie.
mine is always hard to get off. you dont need pliers, just try harder
