Wiper Blade stops too high on windshield

the otherday I had a build up of snow on my wiper blades so as I was driving I stuck my arm out the window and lifted the wiper blade up as it was moving to losen off the snow.. Now when I stop the wipers they stop about 2 inches above where they normally do and if i shut the wipers off when i'm driving they will continue to go until i slow down to cut down on the wind and they will stop.

If the car is running and the wipers off I can push the wiper blade/arm up a little and the wipers will start going by themself.

Now is this just an ajdustment i have to remove the wiper arms from the wiper motor and re seat them OR do I have to get a new wiper motor?

I need help ASAP because when i drive the wipers start going by themself .

mine did same thing i went to junkyard and got a new motor, fixed it, a redneck way to do it is put the wipers in low speed and cut car off while theyre still down, pull out the wiper fuse when its not raining/snowing lol
