Is my PCM bad?

Hey people my 97 2.2 dies quite randomly and refuses to restart when it happens. There is no spark and the fuel pump does not run when it dies in this fashion. I have discovered that if I re/re the PCM fuse from under the hood the engine starts up right away and it'll be fine for another random time interval. When I measured the voltage at the PCM fuse it comes up as 10.25 ~ 10.75 volts even with the engine running. Tonight I disconnected the PCM to check the power and ground cables and there is 12V going to the plugs with good grounds as well. Do you guys think it's worth a shot to replace the PCM? I have tried different crankshaft sensor / ICM / coils but they didn't fix the probem so I'm back using my originals..

Thank you!
Jeff

sounds like it could be a PCM issue.

Could be PCM. Also something that I have come to realize with J-body's, and also GM cars. Grounds play a hugh roll on the car!! I know some people are like duh. I mean J's have crappy grounds. We have had 1 little small ground wire keep the fuel pump from coming on. I know someone else who had a lack of ground allow the fuel pump to come on, but not build fuel pressure. I feel grounding kits are a great mod for J's.

Have you checked voltage at the PCM? Check it while there is no issues, and then again when there is a issue.

Did you ever figure out the problem? I am having the same problem with my car right now. Thanks.
