Harsh Noises from Trans/Wheels- Help ASAP!!!
Tuesday, December 11, 2007 8:55 AM
OK so i got the new Slave cylinder in. everything is fine. CEL comes on so i take it to Auto zone. it was the Intake Temp(K&N Typhoon Intake). he cleared it... Now Will Low Tranny fluid cause the ABS lights to come on?? Now i drive and the rotating grinding noise is coming from both wheels, (it sounds like) and it gets so loud i can hear it over my exhaust (it has no muffler just cat and straight pipe) sounds like i'm riding on my rims lol

Would it be my Bearings or something? its ridiculously Loud sounds like its roaring. any clue to what it is? I checked and my driver side axel spun the grease out of the boot but no Visable hole/rip/tare.. also when the guy cleared the CEL the next day it came on again would it be another code or the same one.

Thanks!

Thats a problem and proboly be the source of the noise. Thats the best i can help w/o hearing the sound. Replace the axle(its more than likely damaged) and see if it goes away. As for the CEL its likely that its the same code. I have the Typhoon intake on my 03' ECOTEC and i dont have any codes.
