Strange hiccup problems when braking...

Hello All,

This is probably a dumb post but bear with me...

My car is having some "hiccup" problem when I'm braking. It feels like its not gripping on to the rotors like it should or is it something more? Could it be my motor mounts that is going bad? or what is it? The car stops just fine, its just annoying feeling the rapid motion hiccups like the brakes are not gripping solid on to the rotors.

I just wanted to ask everyone's opinion on whats going on with my Cav. I just had replaced the brake pads because my left brake pads were exteremely low..just about ready to put on a huge dent on my rotors. This "hiccup" has happened before i replaced the pads but after i replaced it, it still occurs but a little less than before. So what do you guys think whats going on here? Need new rotors too? or need the stock rotors resurfaced?

Thanks guys...

I had this problem with my 89 sunbird... what had happened is the front rotors were warped.... switched the rotors and she brakes smoothly again...

were the pads worn unevenly? it would sound like it, if just the lefts were really bad.

I'd go for warped rotors too bro.

As long as we are talking about pad ware...anyone have the outside pads wear out and still have 1/2 the pad on the inside? Had this on both sides.
