i have a 96 2.4 cavalier. every couple of weeks my spark plugs foul out and i when i go to change them the ceramic on them is either cracked or totally busted. do any of you guys have any idea what is going on here? and what plugs would you guys recommend. i dont know if it matters but i have intake headers and full exhuast.

I recommend AC Delco Platinum spark plugs. As to why your plugs fowling and the ceramic is breaking I don't know.

What plugs have you been putting in? How are you putting them in? How tight? I recommend NGK's. Stock number 3951.

ive been using ngk plantinums. and im just snugging them in.

Chris, I've read somewhere that breaking porcelin insulators can be caused by "detonation"....

I scratched my head when I read this, then I realized that high musical notes can shatter
glass....

Don't know any more, but you may want to check ignition timing...
