Short somewhere?

Ok lets start this thing.

One night around 12am i went for a drive around, just to drive. Next morning, i come out to my car, and find it it barely cranks, and then start and runs perfectly fine. After investigating it a bit more, i noticed that my clock was reset to 12:00 and every once and a while, very infrequently, I get a speaker thump. I check my gauges (boost and a/f) and they are not drawing from anywhere, i left them unhooker all night and came out and still same problem.

IF the cars runs for a bit, and then i turn it off and restart it, it turns over no problem, and fires up fine, this is why i think i am drawing. Im getting a volt gauge in a few days, to confirm my suspicions.

If u guys can recommend any where to look for a draw, or if there is any other problem you guys can think of id really appreciate it.

Well it doesnt sound like a draw cause if it was, then youd have a dead battery each time.

Sounds more like not a good enough connection to the battery or a bad ground! Maybe even a bad battery (has a dead cell)

now DIE!

I have a similar problem with my 2005 Sunfire.

Sometimes (maybe once a week or so) when I start the car I get a thump sound from my speakers and the clock on the CD player is reset to 12:00.

I hope someone has a suggested fix for this it is very annoying.
