Whats up Guys? I drive a 2000 Chevy Cavalier with a 2200 SFI Ln2 engine, I bought the Pace Setter Exhaust headers for it. The exhaust headers u have to relocate the o2 sensor the connects to the headers u have extend the wire for the sensor, now that being said my check engine light keeps coming on and my mechanics computer reads its that sensor but the sensor still works it opens and reads everything thats what the computer says. I replace this sensor twice already it will work but for a couple of months then my check engine light comes on. the wire is soldered on its all solid so i have no idea what to do.... is it the type of sensor or what? Does anyone else have this issue with these type of headers?
Its very possible the sensor isn't getting warm enough, being so far from the head, the exhaust cools by the time it reaches the sensor, and its not getting accurate enough readings. Theres a thread in the forums about installing a heated 4 wire sensor in place of the 2 wire you have in place now that may solve your problem.

ok now i cant find the thread about installing a heated 4 wire O2 sensor in place of the 2 wire O2 sensor. now my question is how would i wire a sensor with 4 wires to a place that only has two? I need this sensor to warm up where do i tap into?

a few seconds in search with the keywords "heated o2".
And I personally would go with an NTK/NGK universal type sensor. Bosch sensors have fairly mixed results, some folks swear by them, other folks have had problems with them.
