can somebody tell me what i need to do to eliminate the ac on my car. i have a 97 2.2 dohc with a 5sp. it hasn't worked for a long time and i figured i would just remove it. i know i have to take it to a shop to remove the r134. im gonna do that soon. ive read that i can get a shorter belt, but how long does it need to be.im eventually gonna remove the whole ac unit completely.

Yeah,LEGALLY,your supposed to take it to a shop but not necessary,when I removed my complete a/csystem it was empty anyways but search around using 'the ever so crafty search button and you'll find all the info about the size belt you'll need
