Help Installing A Large Hammer Into A '99 2.2 SF (*fuel issues)

So if anyone knows what the best hammer, most efficient angle and ideal velocity is to use when smashing a Sunfire with a hammer is, please share you wisdom. Right now I'm thinking "sledge", "over my head" and "as hard as I can".

Anyhow, here's my issues trying to start a '99 2.2 Sunfire:

-It will crank, but not turn over
-When the key is in the run position, the fuel pump does not audibly prime

Then I stumbled across this when I decided to change the fuel pump today:

(this happened when most of the tank components were disconnected, and right before I dropped the tank)

-I decided to check the pump relay for the thousandth time, and when I put one in that I got from the wreckers, the pump primed (and shot gas all over my driveway...)
-I hooked up the tank assembly lines again and started the vehicle
-it ran for under a minute then died (power did not die however)
-I unplugged then re-installed the relay hoping for the same result (that beautiful priming noise), but this time, there was no prime
-I then unplugged the 50A ignition fuse from the engine compartment fuse block, plugged it back in, and the pump primed
-unplugged the fuse again, plugged it in, and it primed
-once more, unplugged, plugged, and it primed
-I then started the vehicle, it ran again for less than a minute, then died

After that, I tried the unplug trick a few more times, but it stopped working (as in, when I put it back in, it still wouldn't prime)

Some things I noticed:
-in that last couple times that the trick didn't work, the FP relay wasn't clicking (it was still working, as when I put it in the AC relay's slot, it would click when I applied power)
-I had an OBD scanner attached the entire time, and there were no DTCs, but, one time, and one time only, when I was checking over all the sensors by hand, it spit back a MAP sensor low-impedance code
-the Anti-Theft light never blinks on starting attempts, so no immobilizer issues

I have replaced the following in the last couple of days:
-starter
-ignition switch
-FP relay
-FP fuse
-battery (charged and posts reground/resurfaced)
(fuel filter was replaced not long ago)

On Wednesday (hopefully, as my time lines never stay true) I'm going to replace the Crank/Cam position sensors, but other than that or there being a short in the fuel system's electric wiring, I'm stumped, and will be resorting to the sledgehammer solution.

A big thanks to anyone who may have suggestions for a solution,

Chad

Check this link, you may have bad wiring back at the pump---it seems to be a common fault---according to Airtex---who sell a replacement connector and wiring combo.

Do you have a wiring diagram to post--I don't have any that "modern"

Finally, after replacing half the crap on that car, this is what is was:

The tabs on the fuse block where the fuel pump connects.

I was double checking everything, all wires from front to back, all wires with the tank dropped, then I tried to start it. To my small surprise, it ran (it had before though and then died). I was waiting for it to die like it normally does, but then it kept running. I lowered the car back down off the jacks, connected everything else and went to put the fuse block cover on before I shut the hood. By accident, more so a blessing in disguise, I knocked the relay with the cover. The car shut off. I wiggled the relay and the pump would cut in and out, and then I knew what the problem had to be: The stupid little connecting tabs. I bent the living crap out of them so that you pretty much need to pound the relay in, and ta-freakin'-da, she runs.

Thanks to everyone that helped, and hopefully this finding will save someone else from experiencing the same headaches I went through in the future.
