Coolant leak
Sunday, May 13, 2007 7:37 AM
first things first, my car is a 2200. now that thats out of the way, the story. when we were installing my turbo we had to cut the coolant line that runs across the front of the engine bay and replace it with a rubber line. well, when we replaced it the line we used was too long, and it ended up getting kinked. i dont know how far i drove like this, but i did drive. now i have a coolant leak and i cant find it. the coolant only leaks out so much and stops, not all the coolant leaks out. the leak is not from the overflow, because it is leaking on the drivers side, and the over flow is on the passenger side. any ideas of what it might be?

Check all of the connections tighten them up. Kink should not have affected anything as long as car did not overheat. Do not reuse stock hose clamps (one tat u have to squeeze to remove) they usually get deformed (happened to me one) and will leek. Get ones that are tighten with a screw.
