Quieting engine lifts

Any body have a quick cheap solution for quieting the engine lifts the tap really loud, is kinda annyoning and makes my cars sound really old.. Any Ideas

I'm assuming you have some valvetrain noise, sort of a loud tapping coming from the rocker cover area? Pull the rocker cover off and check the torque on the bolts holding the rockers in place. They should be at 19 ft lbs (25 Nm). Those are the specs for a 2k 2200 OHV, but your engine is essentially the same in regards to the rockers I believe. If they areNOT bolts, but NUTS instead, then do not tighten them down. They are adjustable, and need to be properly adjusted by someone who knows how.
