how do you test the ignition switch
Do you have wiring diagram?
Is your vehicle not starting and you want it tested, what exaclty do you need to test it for
Normally with switches I bypass the switch with a fused jumper wire and then activate the circuit and see what happens

yes i have a diagram , not for the switch persay, but the ignition in general
right now it doesnt start with the key, i have a toggle switch in its place, as long as the ignition is turned on, the car will start, but then i t dies instantly, which is a whole nother problem in itself
it has the 2.4 in it
can i get a copy of that diagram? i'm having some ignition problems myself. battery keeps dieing.

Sounds like a Passlock issue to me. If you're trying to start the car with a switch... you still need the key in the ignition switch to send the R-code from the ignition lock to the cluster (on 95-99) or BCM (00-05)... then send the fuel password to the PCM to let the car run. If you're bypassing it to use a push button or whatever... get a DEI 555L bypass module and connect it to your alarm.
