upper mtr. mount insert, you do not have to jack the motor up,lower mount you do need to support motor

huh?
If you're replacing the entire upper mount assembly (which it sounds like you're doing) then you DO need to support the engine as it's the one that supports the engine weight. First move the coolant tank out of the way (there's a 10mm bolt at the front of the tank towards the rad support, and a plastic clip on the side rail that holds it there, part of the tank itself). You'll probably want to disconnect the small coolant hose that goes to the back of the motor, in order to move it out of the way.
Once the tank is moved, you can take off the 13mm bolts that hold the top cover plate on the mount. There's two on top (three if you have A/C, an extra one holds the plastic clip in place), and another under where the coolant tank was, which is why you moved it.

Take the cover plate off, and there's another couple of bolts. I think they're 15mm. They hold the weight of the car, from the heavy metal cross-plate, to the rubber mount itself. Put a piece of wood on top of a floor jack, then support then engine and trans from below. Just support it, don't lift the whole car with it more than a tiny bit... just so you know it's there. Take out the side bolts on the mount (2x13mm) and the bigger bolts inside the mount itself. Then you should be able to slide the upper mount out and replace it.
Now... if you were adding the RK Sport insert like Biggs was thinking... you don't need to jack up the engine for either mount. The upper, you don't want to move the engine while it's bolts are out, but it won't fall.. the lower definitely doesn't need supporting for, as it's just stopping the engine from rocking back and forth... no need to support at all.
ooops my bad, that's cool at least I know what to do for the lower and yeah I thought he was just doin the upper insert.
