I have a 97 sunfire 2.4l w/ isuzu 5spd trans. recently got custom cat back 2.5" w/ high flow resonator, changed pre-cat o2 sensor w/ bosh. It ran like crap till it warmed up then whoa baby it was nice! Exhaust always smelled like it was on the rich side, still does, was badly in need of an oil change but i romped on it anyways, after hitting fuel cut off in 1st and 2nd in a race, I now have a bad knocking/ticking sound definetly coming from the motor. I only hear it with no load(in neutral) at 1700 rpm on up and under load 2200-2300 rpm and up. It's definetly getting worse. and it looks like it's now leaking from the front main seal. Drained and filtered the oil, got a silver streak in the oil plus it looks like glitter in the filter.any Ideas from eny one?
My 2.4 when stock would still beat your rice fart cannon.
