i have a 04 eco and im rebuilding my motor with a 2002 eco and im wondering if anyone has run into problems taking it off. i look at the bolt hole nearest the block and it looks like a bolt snapped 3/4 of the way down.and i know for a fact its not from me because it in such a tight space to geta bolt in or out of let alone with a socket.
any help would be much appreciated!!! Thanks Matt

So the bolt is snapped in block, can you get any of the bolt sticking out or no.
I have not always, but have had luck using a really good pair of vice grips and making the bolt turn. This happened a few times, not doing what you are doing but other stuff.
Otherwise you have to drill, it out, that tap a new oversize thread in there.

i wish it was like that but its inside the hole i will most likley try to drill it out but its gonna be a bitch to get a bit in the tight space i have.. but thanks man i wasnt sure if there was a pin holding it on

so this may be a stupid ? but how is that water pump ran? it dont appear to be electric and i dont believe i have a pulley...im just curious.
It's not built into the engine.
It is run off a second chain under the timing cover.
