I have oil ponding in the spark plug valley of my 96 Sunfire Gt, 2.4. It appears that the exhaust cam housing COVER seal is leaking. Is this a common problem? The factory manual states, if the housing bolts are loosened then the housing gasket must also be replaced. I don't have the time or inclination to replace both at this time. Has anyone replaced just the cam housing cover seal successfully? Any tips? Thanks, Dave
you could have a serious problem on your hands. mine was doing that before the engine blew

Thanks for the reply. After cleaning the area and upon further survey, the oil pressure sender switch was the culprit. Oil was pouring out. Changed it out and no further leaks. Dave
