I wanted to strip the front and rear lights out if it isn't a PITA or you have to take a whole lot of crap apart including new plastic push fasteners. Looking at it though it seems like this car it would be a pain so I may just let them tape around everything and go. Anyone ever take the front and rear assemblies out? Is it a pain?

its easy two bolts for each headlight 13mm
3 bolts for the corner lights 11mm
then for the rear i cant remember the size but there is a 3 for each section
pretty easy to do actually doesn't take longer then 15 mins

But do you have to break any of the fasteners on the plastic up front there? How about in the back where it looks like the nuts are a one and done deal meaning you would have to buy new ones?

nope you don't have to break anything to take the plastic piece off the front you need a flat head to pop the center part of each fastener up then you can pop out the fasteners. Thats how they work then put them back in and push back down the center section.
and for the rear your corners are gonna have the same style nut and they are reusable as long as you don't over tighten them you'll be fine
