Heatercore Removal
Tuesday, October 03, 2006 5:21 PM

Im in the middle of changing a blown heatercore on my '98 Z24.

The Haynes manual says that if you have trouble removing the coolant lines from the engine side of the firewall, to cut them off. I think im gonna have to cut them, but i dont want to, untill I get a replacement for that H-style hose. Does anyone have a part number for that hose?

Also there is 1 last screw in the heater core cover ,recesed at the back against the firewall. What the hell kinda tool did you use to get in there? All my sockets/screwdrives/nut drivers etc. are way too long, or to short.

thanx for the help ........

Are they stock snap clamps?. You may need a pair of curved neddle nose pliars, I know they are a pain A**, they do come off pretty well, with little skill.
