i drive a 2001 cavy z and for some reason it really starts shaking when i start picking up speed i dont mean like 60 but in the 80-90 range and up, i just put new struts, tires, and had it aligned it helped a little but its still pretty bad any ideas?? thanks
tires out of balance i say,, try that
Have you checked youre balljoints?. Could be a tire that needs balancing.
And not to sounds like the expensive option. It can also mean the transmissions got problems as well as the above stated.
...They just HATE it when you ...POINT - LAUGH - then DRIVE OFF AND AWAY-!...

Tires out of balance. Or cheap tires, if they aren't speed rated they aren't built to handle above 80 and they can be deforming under the forces.

thanks i will try to go get them balanced see if that fixes it
I would say Transmission slipping
i really dont think its the tranny when i say shaking i mean the steering wheel shakes alot and seems that the dash starts to, i just had a new crate engine and tranny put in and it did this before then whenever i got up to speed, but i dunno whatcha think??
Are you running after-market rims? If so, are you using hub rings? You need hub rings if you are running after-market rims.

nope everything on my car is stock other than the intake and throttle body spacer i have noticed lately a popping sound on the front passenger side around the strut area i thought i just needed new struts but that didnt fix it any ideas???
When you hit the brakes does it get worse? If the rotors are slightly warped it can cause that at high speed.

that popping sound is probably a brake caliper, my car was actually doing the exact same thing, where it was shaking when i got above 75, and that popping noise was there, but it was two different problems. the popping was the brake caliper sticking, which is about 16 bucks, plus the core charge, but its probably best to get both done together. and the shaking was the tires not balanced correctly. hopefully this helps.
no the popping sound just happens when i hit bumps or uneven road i will have to change the brakes i guess and i will let ya know when that happens may be a few days i work full time, and go to school full time but i will post if any more problems
LOL this happpend to my wifes car, please check your lower control arms or ask your mechanic to look at them. You seriously do not want those going off on you. You will turn right and the tire will keep going straight, and you will be in a whole heap of @!#$ then. Get it check out fast don't lag around with this or you may regret it.
Eat my cock you wanna be ricers.
