P0753- Shift Solenoid A Circuit Electrical

P0758- Shift Solenoid B Circuit Electrical

My car is currently hung up on these 2 codes and will not allow the automatic transmission to shift gears. I can clear the codes and the car works fine until the initial shift from 1st to 2nd, then gets hung up. Anyone have information leading to the maintenance/repair of these items?

I don't have a factory manual but I think someone here should be able to tell you how to test those. If it's shifting and hanging those solenoids might be bad or a wire messed up.

As posted on the transmission forum.....

753 - 1-2 shift solenoid
758 - 2-3 shift solenoid
Both solenoids are fed by the same power. Maybe that has something to do with it. The fault is set when the PCM senses that the solenoid is open or the PCM actuating circuit is open. It looks at the line going from the PCM to the solenoid(s) and if the line is 0 volts instead of 12 when the ground-type actuating signal is not present, it assumes that the solenoid is open. It looks at the same point when the ground signal should be present and sets a fault if the line is at 12 volts instead of 0, indicating a short to voltage in the actuating circuit. First thing I would do is check the fuse (ERLS, 10A) that feeds the power to the solenoids. Then check the voltage to make sure its is a healthy 12 volts and not low or intermittent.
