anyone that read my other 5 post in about 3 days knows that i had to replace my water pump and that the car over heated twice before i could make it home. So my question is. What else could be affected by the other heating. See today i filled the rad and such with water and coolent flush and then i started the car and all ran fine for about 5 mins but the temp gague didn't move at all then it started to move alittle and i heard this "pop" noise so i quickly shut the car off and ran to the front to fine smoke comin out from both sides of the radiator. I dont know if the fan popped or if the little relay thats there popped but it sounded like an electrical pop. Both the relay and fan were cold tho. I might have got them alittle wet before with water. So what could have popped like that? and i was told that since the car overheated my Temp gauge might not work now. Is this true? Cuz the engine felt really hot even tho the temp didn't move. i hit the exhaust manifold with water after this happned and it steamed like a SOB. Also my belt sprayed oil alittle over the front of the car just alittle spray not alot. What could that be from?
just did it again but this time it didn't pop it just started to smoke alittle. Seems to be comin from the fan. At what temp should the fan kick on if i have the heater on full blast? it was at around 100-125 when i saw it start to smoke
