That's the noises Christine made earlier today
Driving downtown from the office to visit one of my staff at their work site... turn right... I give 'er HARD... just about redlined it... shift, shift, shift, got off the gas... car is going putt putt putt.... little to no power, sounds like a turbo lawnmower with bad gas in it... not happy at all, sounds exactly like the time I blasted one of the spark plugs' gap shut killing the cylinder... and the time I blew the head gasket... but both of those times, I still had some power...
So, I limp it a few blocks to my old work's parking lot... leave it there while I grab transit down to meet this person (I was giving them an award for a job well done... anyway...).. come back with my girlfriend Erin later on, pull plug #4, and it's flat... part of the ceramic is broken off... The compression test reads 205-210-210-120....
To make a long story short... we towed the car home...
So cylinder 4 is done... not sure what it is yet, there's some gouges in the #4 plug... likely I've busted the top ring land off the piston.. but not 100% sure of anything yet... can't see anything in the cylinder, but I'll have to tear it apart to figure it out.... Erin was behind me when I tried to drive it, and saw something shoot out the tailpipe, akin to a cigarette busting up when it hits the road.
Sigh.... time for the bottom end build-up!! If only I can make some $$$ to buy the parts that is...

ouch, doubt he saw anything from the motor unless it went thru the cat (unless you dont have one for that matter)
So it's the same thing that happened to Hypsy and that other buy with the blue turbo Cav?

Sorry to hear what happened dude, My buddy blew his motor heading up that hill to whistler just in N Van, Hes gotta figure out, How to get another engine.
