Steering problems

so yeah,
I was driving around tonight and i went to take a hard right and halfway through the turn the wheel stop turning easily and it felt like the tires were flat, i had to really jurk on the wheel to get the car turned. Im almost positive that its the power steering. but its weird. I got back to the school parking lot and was driving around in circles to try to get it to do it again. and it wouldnt do it for like 5 mins but then it did it again. so I stopped while it was doing it and looked under the hood while my girlfreind was turning the wheel. there was a crazy noise coming from somewhere and one of the lines coming from the PS reservior was jumping around when she turned hard to the right. I just think its really weird that its only does it while im turning to the right, and only once in a while. I just figured that if it was the PS pump that it would do it all the time.

Just looking for some verification that this is a Power steering problem and nothing else. maby some help
thanks

half full? is it to the hot or cold mark on the dipstick?
If it's not it's possible a hard right could cause the fluid to slosh to one side leaving the pump dry causing your problem.....

Just a guess
