I need some help with my fuel system...I was having problems frequently with the fuel pump not working when trying to start it, so I assumed I would check it out....fuel filter was obviously overdue and pretty plugged so i figured it was a fair assumption that the pump burned out from overworking...so I changed the filter and put a new fuel pump in....and thought I had the problem solved cuz it fired up and worked great.....until this morning. I had to turn the key like 10 times before I finally heard the fuel pump kick in and then it started. Is there a fuel sending module or something like that? or what else could it be

could it be teh wireing on the pump? maybe a lose wire? Was the pump new or a remanufactured?

The pump going bad is sorta common, and quite expensive to fix. It could be the internal circuitry in which case you're basically stuck buying a new pump. Could also be the wiring going to the pump too....
well the pump was "recycled" or used but tested with 30 day guarantee from a reputable salvage yard...but I suppose anything is possible. I just visually inspected the wire harnesses by the tank and everything looked good. Thats why I was wondering if there was some module somewhere or perhaps a ignition issue...and there are no "DUMMY" lights on either

try the relay, sounds like the problem.
I considered that and switched it with the AC relay cuz there the same...but that didnt make a difference....then again the relay was making a clicking sound, Could that mean its not getting enought power to switch the relay on?
