I have a clearance issue with my aftermarket CAI and the lining underneath my hood, when I go to put the hood down the liner rubs the my air filter. If I remove this liner will it hurt anything ??

nope, took mine out about 3 years ago when i got my first intake.

to make sure that you don't rub the finish off your intake, take the hood liner off. also, make sure the intake coupling to the TB is pushed down as far as possible. make sure the intake is in the coupling as far as possible. and you can also adjust how high the intake sits by loosening the bracket's mounting point to the engine and twisting the intake down towards the front of the car.
