'04 Cavalier clicking in drivetrain

Howdy y'all.
Specs on the ride: 2004 M5 Cavalier, 47K miles.
I jacked up the front of my Cavalier and when I spin the passenger side tire I hear a clicking noise. The manual trans is out of gear, and the car is off.

Sounds like it is coming from where the driveshaft comes out of the transmission, but the sound is tough to isolate exactly where it is coming from. Regardless, there is a clicking sound when the tire is spun . It does it on the driver's side wheel too, but not as loud.

It sounds similar to tapping your fingernail on a table.

If I rotate the tire back and forth it "clicks" at the same spot.

Any ideas what may be the problem here?

Possibly a CV joint but you said it's on both sides. I would think the odds of having two bad CV joints on a two year old car with that low mileage would be slim but then again it's a Cavalier.

Might just be your ABS sensor rubbing on the splines slightly...but then that would turn on your ABS light.

Just a thought though...hope it helps.
