Oil Filter
For Transmissoin I need a gasket
and how many quartes of ATF Fluid??
Anything else
Its an 04 eco auto, thanks!!
If you so choose to do the trans yourself, you need the filter, gasket, and like 6 quarts of trans fluid.
It would be best to take it to a shop, tell them use the flush machine and remove the old fluid. Then drop the pan, change the filter, then start the machine back up and it will replace exactly what it took out.

Really, unless you have a ton of miles on the cavi, then I would skip the trans fluid change.
Draining the fluid only gets about half of the fluid out. But then again the fluid won't be that bad.
Mine took about 8 quarts of regular dex/merc III. (drain and fill)
I just did my friends auto transmission fluid and filter change gasket as well, It took 4 1/2 quarts of tranny fluid to fill. I dont recommend doing a tranny flush, Ive seen to many problems on higher miles trannys, What happens is then bands in the tranny start slipping, in which youre drive gears will burn out. Unless you owned the car since new, Then 50,000 miles it should be ok.
I change the auto trans fluid/filter every 40,000 miles on all my cars. Cheap and faiirly easy, the heat and city driving are hard on auto's. I started doing that many years ago and every auto i've had didnt' have any problems even at 250,000 miles. Filter is about $18 + about 6 quarts of Dex-III.
How many miles could you possibly have on an 04?
The only thing I suggest is get the gasket from a dealership. The gasket that comes with a kit from autozone sucks. I had problems with the gasket leaking.
well at around 50k miles so i figure jut time to do upkeep, did the oil and waiting for another day to to the trans, i think ill get 6 quarts and see how it goes
