Ive been having problems with my driver side window.
It's getting stuck in 3 spots when i try to put it up.
1st - about 2 inches from the bottom of the window sil
2nd - about have way up
3rd - about 1 inch from the top.
However going when putting it down, it works fine.
I took off the door pannel, and checked everything out, and everything looks ok, but im not really sure what im looking at...
Could more lube help the situation?
Bad window motor?
Any Ideas?

You tried forcing it down or up, didn't you?
Most likely it's off track. You can pop the door panel off and fix it fairly easily.
Its not off track. Thats what I checked out when I took off the door panel earlier today.
When it gets stuck, I help it, by pulling it up..
it wasnt fun yesterday in the rain..believe me

I have the same exact problem
Listening........
If it's on track and everything else is ok it could be a weak motor.
You can't outrun the radio.
last month when my stereo got stolen, the guy that come to fix my window said that my window doesnt go up as easily as it should. he put some white lithium grease into the channel on the front and rear, it works like a dream now, that may be all that u gotta do. hope that helps a bit.
Ill make a sig someday
if it goes down good and gets stuck going up its motor.. its too weak to push it up but gravity helps it go down thats it
I had this problem once on a cold day when it wouldnt go up.

i think im going to try some lithium grease first...

got some lithium grease on there...
Its really weird, sometimes it sticks and sometimes it goes right up. When it does stick it only sicks half way up.
i guess im not sure where to put the grease, it seems like ive put it in every spot possible that has to do with the window movement.
any suggestions?

my driver side window is not getting "stuck" but its got a brand new motor in it, is greased and on track and still rolls down and up slowly. its worse in the colder weather. i come to accept that its probably a weak after market motor but if someone has any other suggestions, im open.
the motor I got at autozone to replace my driverside one was a tad faster than stock, so I dunno what's up. You could try takin it back and saying it is defective. Mine came with a lifetime warranty.
very intresting. faster than stock sounds great to me..thank you for that advise. im willing to give it a try. i got mine from carquest.

you know i have to say Nice doors!!! that looks pretty kick ass on the car... id love to know where you got those. how much they run you? and on a strange off note ... do you have kids or kids in the car and are they good ... or bad for putting kids in them? i have a three month old with a car seat that takes up most of my back seat. what bumper do you have on the car. the body kit looks pretty good also. the front one provides a nice place to mount the inter cooler.
