hello i have a 2003 cavalier and was wondering how i remove the ecotec plastic cover, because i want to paint it, i removed the four bolts thinking it would just come loose but it feels like somethings holding it down still, any help would be appreciated. thx

Pull the 4 bolts unplug the wire and tug. The resistance your feeling is the spark plug boots gripping the plugs, don't worry they'll let go.

As for painting it make sure you first clean it with a product called "TOTAL PREP" follow the directions on the can. Them prime and paint. Heat paint is not nessacary as I've had regular GM touch up paint on mine for going on 3 years now.
